Stone Mountain Massacre is a trail event on February 6, 2027 in Roaring Gap, North Carolina, organized by Dirty Wolf Ultras. The event includes multiple distances and a longer 50K course that incorporates a specific token-collecting element called the Six Stones.
The course starts near the visitor center and follows the Bypass Trail into the Stone Mountain Loop, with a descent to Wolf Creek and sections of the Mountain-to-Sea Trail. The route includes a climb of 300 stairs and repeated terrain of rock, roots, and mixed surface conditions. Trail markings are red ribbons and yellow arrows. Elevation gain is approximately 1,530 feet per loop. Conditions may include ice, fog, and mud.
Aid and services: five aid stations (two manned, three unmanned), each holding a stone token for the 50K.
