The course starts near the Visitor Center and follows the Bypass Trail into the Stone Mountain Loop, descends to Wolf Creek, and joins the Mountain-to-Sea Trail. There are five aid stations, two manned and three unmanned, and each holds a stone token. Aid station supplies include pickles, bacon, candy, cereal, fruit, water, Tailwind, and soda. First aid is available at aid locations. Participants who withdraw should notify event staff.

Rules include no dogs, no strollers, no refunds for weather, trekking poles allowed, bibs worn on the front, walkers accepted if they finish, and no unregistered runners. The 50K has a 10 hour time limit. Results are posted on UltraSignup and event photos are provided after the race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
