Star Wars 50th Anniversary running events (Milton Keynes, 5 and 6 June 2027)

The event takes place at the Premier Inn, Lakeside Grove, Bletcham Way, Caldecotte, Milton Keynes MK7 8HP. The venue is about 150 yards off the A5 and roughly 3 miles from the M1; a nearby windmill is a local landmark.

Distances

  • Marathon: 7.5 scenic laps of Caldecotte Lake, clockwise, with a 50k option
  • Half marathon: 3.5 scenic laps of Caldecotte Lake, clockwise

Route descriptions are given at the event location. Mandatory race briefings take place shortly before each race. There is a hard time limit of 7:00 hours for each marathon; anyone finishing after 7:00 will be recorded as a DNF. The half marathon time limit is 4:00 hours.

All finishers of each event receive a unique bespoke medal. Race support includes a starter, timekeeper, race referee, a large pub car park, and water and toilets on every lap of the lake course. The event is held in accordance with 100 Marathon Club rules.

Trail runs nearby

An inflatable 5K obstacle course in St Albans on Saturday 25 April 2026, featuring a series of inflatable obstacles along a 5K route; recent booking figures and participant feedback indicate active interest.

A spring, group-led trail run of around **10 km** through bluebell woods near Tring in the Chiltern Hills, with Run Leaders, trail-running tips, bag storage and nearby cafes. Dog friendly with cani-cross equipment.

A guided 5 km trail run in the Chiltern Hills on 3 May 2026 followed by a Movement Project class. Participants are grouped by ability and supported by Run Leaders; facilities include a cafe, toilets and bag drop.

A 100-kilometre anticlockwise loop through the Chiltern Hills, the race follows The Ridgeway and local trails with six checkpoints, marked navigation and open GPS tracking. The event is based in Chesham and limited to 250 runners.
