Star of the Sea A.C. annual cross country meeting

Star of the Sea A.C. holds an annual cross country meeting in Greenanstown, Stamullen, County Meath. The meeting includes a structured juvenile programme and separate junior, senior and masters races. The venue is signposted from Cooperhill Cross on the Duleek to Julianstown road and from Stamullen village.

The event uses chip timing for juvenile and adult races. All entries must be submitted online; there are no entries on the day.

Race distances include:

• U9 500 m
• U10 500 m
• U11 1,000 m
• U12 1,500 m
• U13 1,500 m and 1,800 m
• U14 2,000 m and 2,200 m
• U15 2,200 m and 2,500 m
• U17 3,000 m and 4,500 m
• Women junior, senior and masters 3,000 m
• Men junior, senior and masters 6,000 m

Team and age rules are stated by the organiser: juvenile and masters teams consist of three scoring members; senior teams may include junior, senior and masters athletes but an athlete may score on only one team. Junior races are for athletes under 20 years of age. Prizes include awards for top juvenile finishers, team placings, and cash prizes for leading junior, senior and masters finishers.
