Entry is limited to 70 participants. The event is sponsored by the Sri Chinmoy Marathon Team and sanctioned by USATF. Participants receive a t-shirt, a medal, and a certificate. Course and facilities
The course is an asphalt loop around the lake, run in a clockwise direction for the duration of the event. The route is mostly flat with a few gentle hills and has permanent markers every 1/4 mile. Laps and mileage are tracked by chip timing with splits recorded each 5 miles; in the final 30 minutes a participant who reaches an aid station may be credited for additional mileage. Four aid stations serve the course - one large main aid area at the staging area and three smaller stations along the loop - and athletes may store personal gear at the main area. There are four permanent restrooms near the lake entrance plus multiple portable toilets. A medical doctor will be on site for non-emergency issues; emergency services will be called if needed. The main staging area is on the dam at the west end of the lake, about one-third mile from the park entrance. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
