Sri Chinmoy 6-Hour Race - San Diego

San Diego, United States • 8 Nov 2026

Course and Format

The Sri Chinmoy 6-Hour Race takes place at Lake Miramar (Miramar Reservoir) in San Diego on a paved asphalt path. Participants complete as many laps as they wish on a 5-mile loop around the lake, moving in a clockwise direction. The course features gentle rolling hills. Athletes may stop at any time before the 6-hour cutoff. In the final 30 minutes of the race, participants who reach one of three remote aid stations will be credited for that additional mileage.

Event Details

The event includes four aid stations along the course offering water, Skratch electrolyte drink, and food such as fruit, snacks, and sandwiches. A secure gear area is provided for personal items. All participants receive a T-shirt, medal, and certificate. Awards are given for Men's and Women's Open divisions, as well as for age groups 50-59 and 60/over. A free lunch is served after the race.

Logistics and Rules

The race is sanctioned by USA Track & Field (USATF). There is a 75-runner entry limit. Participants must park off-site and walk to the lake entrance and then to the staging area; specific parking information is sent to registered participants. The course is shared with other recreational users, and all participants must stay on the asphalt path. A physician is present on-site for medical attention. The event has been held in San Diego four times prior to this iteration. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
