Squatchy Leftovers
The Squatchy Leftovers Trail Party takes place on November 28, 2026 at South Mountain Reservation in West Orange, NJ. The event uses a 5K loop course based at the Turtleback Rock Picnic Area and offers multiple distance options around that loop.
Distances include:

- 25K
- 50K
The course combines hard packed carriage roads and technical singletrack with rocks and roots. The 5K loop includes a wide dirt first mile, a steep 1/2 mile rocky descent early in the loop, a 100 foot climb near mile 2.5, and a final mile of singletrack. Elevation gain for the distances is approximately 289 ft for the 5K, 578 ft for the 10K, 1,445 ft for the 25K, and 2,890 ft for the 50K. The 50K and 25K have an 8 hour 30 minute cutoff; the 10K and 5K share that same overall cutoff. There are no on course cutoffs.
Aid station services are located at the start finish area and are available every loop. Available items include hot food, snacks, water and Skratch Hydration, and a range of gluten free and vegan options. Portajohns, a stocked first aid kit and AED, private changing tents, and a quiet Jackalope Tent for rest or breastfeeding are provided. The course is marked with neon pink reflective ribbon and large red directional arrows. A GPX file and course map are available. Public transit options and parking details are listed for the venue.
