Squatchy Leftovers is a trail party held on November 28, 2026 at South Mountain Reservation in West Orange, New Jersey. The event offers multiple distances on a 5K loop course and supports the nonprofit Bigger Than The Trail, which provides cost-free therapy to people in need. A charity bib option is available that requires raising or donating $350 by November 25.

The 5K loop combines wide carriage roads and technical singletrack. Terrain includes a very rocky descent in the first mile, a 100 ft climb near mile 2.5, and a final mile of singletrack with rocks and roots. Elevation gain per distance is approximately: 50K ~ 2,890 ft, 25K ~ 1,445 ft, 10K ~ 578 ft, 5K ~ 289 ft. The 5K loop makeup is about 84% carriage roads and 16% technical singletrack.
The event is capped at 400 participants across all distances and has historically sold out in past years. The start/finish area at Turtleback Rock Picnic Area has room for about 110 cars with overflow directed to nearby streets. Course marking is prominent with neon ribbons and large turn arrows; GPX and maps are available. Aid station at the start/finish offers hot food, water, Skratch Hydration, and a variety of vegan and gluten-free items. Portable toilets including an ADA unit are provided. Adaptive athletes are supported with guides and accommodations; pacers are permitted for athletes over 60 and for athletes with disabilities. The event is cupless so participants should bring their own drinking container. A trail conditions report is issued in the days before the party.
