Spring Trail Chase 10K
The Spring Trail Chase is a 10K trail run organized by the Chicago Area Runners Association at The Forge Lemont Quarries in Lemont, Illinois on May 17, 2026. The event uses trails within the adventure park and the adjacent quarry and trail system.
The course is generally flat and mostly on well maintained crushed limestone, with some wooden bridge crossings, gravel, and wood chip surfaces. The route begins at The Lawn outdoor music venue and runs along the Illinois & Michigan Trail Passage, the Lemont Heritage Quarry Trails, and through The Forge Adventure Park grounds. The surroundings are mostly wooded with views of water filled quarries and park features.
Event services include chip timing for the 10K run walk, a CARA branded giveaway item, overall and age group awards, and live posted results. Awards are given to the top three overall finishers in male female and non binary categories; recognition awards are provided to the top three men and women in age groups from 14 & Under through 85 & Over. Age group awards must be picked up at the Results & Awards tent and will not be mailed.
The event has a capacity of 450 and features tiered registration pricing with a CARA Supporter member discount. The organizer’s policies state that refunds and deferrals will not be issued.
