Spring Fling 600
The Spring Fling 600 is organized by the CT Trailmixers at YMCA Camp Sloper in Southington, Connecticut and takes place on May 9, 2026. The event uses a roughly three-mile looped trail that starts and finishes at the main pavilion and offers varied terrain and scenery on a well-marked course.
Race options include:
- Spring Fling 600: Run as many ~3-mile loops as possible within 600 minutes.
- Spring Fling 6 Mile: Complete two laps of the roughly three-mile course.
Both races use chip timing and laps are counted on a public display at the start/finish area. For the 600 minute event, only laps completed within the 600 minute time limit count; laps finished after that limit are not included. Participants may take breaks during the day and rejoin the course; when done racing, runners should inform volunteers so organizers know they have left the course.
Registration is accepted online only, fees include processing charges, and CT Trailmixers members receive a 25 percent discount via a member coupon. Race-day registration is contingent on available openings. Total entry caps are 150 for the Fling 600 and 50 for the 6 Mile.
All finishers receive a CT Trailmixers gift and a finisher’s medal. Top male, female, and non-binary competitors are recognized. Race proceeds support local organizations including the Southington YMCA, the Connecticut Forest & Parks Association, and the CT Trailmixers Shoe Scholarship Program.
Connecticut spring weather is variable; the event has often been wet and muddy. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
