The Spitfire Ultra Trail Challenge takes place on Saturday, April 18, 2026. The event is held at the North Menan Butte near Menan, Idaho. North Menan Butte is an extinct volcano formed approximately 10,000 years ago.

Course & Terrain

The run traverses a variety of surfaces on the butte, including sand, volcanic rock, slick rock, and sage brush. The course goes around the west and east sides of the butte, runs along its rim, and goes down through its center. Participants may encounter wildlife.
