Spaulding Woods 50K

The Spaulding Woods 50K is a loop-style trail race held on the Spaulding Academy & Family Services campus in Northfield, NH. The course is a technical 5.6-mile loop featuring rocks, roots, and footbridges; the full event requires six laps, covering approximately 34 miles with about 4,400 feet of cumulative elevation gain. The trail is primarily singletrack with a small portion of doubletrack.

Runners have a ten-hour time limit to complete six laps, and there is a strict cutoff to begin the final lap. Pacers are not allowed. This event is cupless; participants must use their own refillable water containers. For safety and trail preservation, animals including dogs, drones, strollers, and bikes are not permitted. The use of headphones is discouraged.

Support on course includes a well-stocked aid station, portable toilets, and individual drop bags available to runners after each lap. The race also lists nearby lodging options within a few miles for participants arriving from out of the area.

The event supports Spaulding Academy & Family Services, an organization that provides community-based services, academics, clinical care, outdoor challenges, and health and wellness programs for children in need. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
