Course and format
The Spaulding Woods 50K is a trail race held on a 5.6-mile loop course. The course is technical, featuring rocks, roots, and footbridges, and is primarily singletrack with a small portion of doubletrack. To complete the full 50K distance (approximately 34 miles), runners must finish six laps within a ten-hour time limit. The cumulative elevation gain is 4,400 feet.

The event starts on the Spaulding Academy & Family Services campus in Northfield, New Hampshire. An aid station, portable toilets, and a drop bag area are available for runners. Bib pickup is available on race day.
Rules and restrictions
There is a strict cutoff to begin the final lap. Pacers are not allowed. This is a cupless event, so runners must bring their own refillable water containers. Animals, drones, strollers, and bikes are not allowed. The use of headphones is discouraged.
