Ragged 75 Stage Race and 50K

The event is a multi-day trail running event around Lake Sunapee on the Sunapee Ragged Kearsarge Greenway. Two main options are offered:

• 75-mile 3 day stage race, approx 15,500 ft elevation gain
• 50K point to point, approx 33 miles and 6,300 ft elevation gain

The 75 mile stage race is broken into three stages: Stage 1 about 24 miles and 4,900 ft, Stage 2 about 23 miles and 4,300 ft, and Stage 3 about 33 miles and 6,300 ft. The course includes technical single track, steep climbs and descents, double track, fire roads, dirt and gravel roads, and some pavement. The route traverses Ragged Mountain, Mount Kearsarge, and Mount Sunapee and follows the SRKG trail.

Overnight camping is provided for the event nights at Wadleigh State Park and Sunapee Middle High School with access to bathrooms, showers, and electricity. The race transports one 90 liter duffel per competitor between overnight locations; a weight guideline of about 40 lb is suggested for transported bags.

Support is limited. Aid station coverage is one station in Stage 1, one in Stage 2, and four plus one water only station in Stage 3. Outside support during stages is not permitted. Mandatory gear for stage racers includes a cell phone, hydration pack with minimum 70 oz fluid capacity, fully waterproof seam sealed jacket, compass, and a medical or blister kit. The event has a 12 hour time limit each day and limits the 75 mile field to about 100 racers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
