Danbury, United States • 31-2 Jul-Aug 2026

Event Overview

The Ragged 75 is a multi-format trail running event featuring a three-day stage race and a single-day 50k race. The 2026 event is scheduled for late July and early August. It is the 10-year anniversary of the stage race.

Distances and Format

The event offers two formats:

  • Stage Race: A three-day, point-to-point event covering approximately 75 miles with about 15,500 feet of elevation gain. The stages are approximately 22 miles, 25 miles, and 33 miles. Each stage has a 12-hour time limit.
  • 50k: A single-day, point-to-point race of approximately 33 miles with about 6,300 feet of elevation gain, held on the final day.

Course Details

The course predominantly follows the SRKG Greenway (Sunapee Ragged Kearsarge Greenway), a 75-mile loop of hiking trails surrounding Lake Sunapee in New Hampshire. The terrain includes technical single-track, steep climbs and descents, double track, fire roads, and dirt, gravel, and paved roads. The stage race summits Mt. Ragged, Mt. Kearsarge, and Mt. Sunapee.

Event Logistics

The stage race begins at Ragged Mountain Resort in Danbury, NH. Overnight accommodations are provided at Wadleigh State Park after Stage 1 and at Sunapee Middle High School after Stage 2; competitors must provide their own tent and sleeping bag. The 50k begins at Sunapee Middle High School, with bus transport available from the resort. Both races finish at Ragged Mountain Resort. The event includes a detailed nightly course briefing.

Aid and Support

The stage race has one aid station midway through each of the first two stages. The third stage/50k has four full aid stations and one water-only station. The event is unsupported; no crews or pacers are allowed. Each competitor is allowed one duffel bag and a small cooler for gear transport between stages.

Mandatory Gear

Competitors must carry specific gear, including a cell phone, hydration pack, waterproof jacket, course maps, a compass, and a medical kit. A full list of recommended gear is also provided.
