Ragged 75 Stage Race and 50K : event overview
The event offers two trail running options around Lake Sunapee following the SRKG Greenway: a three day, point-to-point 75 mile stage race with roughly 15,500 feet of elevation gain, and a single-day 50K of about 33 miles with 6,300 feet of vertical. Terrain includes technical single-track, steep climbs and descents, double track, fire roads, dirt and gravel roads, and some pavement.
Support is stage-style with transported duffel bags, overnight camping, and stocked aid stations. Overnight locations are Wadleigh State Park on the first night and Sunapee Middle High School on the second night, with access to bathrooms, showers, and electricity. The stage race is limited to 100 competitors plus up to five veteran spots; the 50K has no maximum field size. Time limits are set at 12 hours per day.
Mandatory gear requirements include a cell phone, a hydration pack with at least 70 oz capacity, a fully waterproof jacket with sealed seams, course maps provided at check-in, a compass, and a basic medical or blister kit. Competitors may transport one 90 liter duffel bag and should plan to be largely self-sufficient between aid stations; each stage has a midway aid station and Stage 3 has multiple stations and one water only drop.
Entry fees and prize structure are published for the event and camping, camp kitchen access, aid stations, showers, and a post race meal are included with registration. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
