Ragged 75 Stage Race and 50k
The event is a multi-day trail running competition centered on the SRKG Greenway around Lake Sunapee in New Hampshire. Two primary race options are offered:
- 75 miles stage race - ~15,500 ft elevation gain
- 50k point-to-point - ~33 miles, ~6,300 ft vertical
The 75-mile option is run as a three-day stage race that follows trails and roads around the lake. Each stage is point-to-point and includes technical single-track, steep climbs and descents, double track, fire roads, dirt and gravel roads, and some pavement. Overnight camping is provided at Wadleigh State Park and Sunapee Middle High School; the latter site provides access to bathrooms and electricity. Competitors may sleep in tents or on the gym floor and are responsible for bringing sleeping gear.
Support from the organizer includes gear transport (one 90-liter duffel per competitor), course maps, camp kitchen facilities, camp showers, and fully stocked aid stations on each stage. The event enforces a 12-hour time limit for each day, prohibits crews and pacers, and caps stage-race entries at 100 racers. Mandatory gear includes a cell phone, hydration pack with at least 70 oz capacity, a fully waterproof jacket, course maps, a compass, and a basic medical/blister kit.
