Event overview
The Ragged 75 is a three-day stage race held around Lake Sunapee on the SRKG Greenway in New Hampshire. The full event covers approximately 75 miles with about 15,500 ft of elevation gain and varied terrain including technical single-track, steep climbs and descents, double track, fire roads, dirt/gravel roads and pavement. A one-day 50k option follows the same corridor and is listed as approximately 33 miles with 6,300 ft of vertical gain.
Format, logistics and rules
Stages are point-to-point and are described as:
- Stage 1: 24 miles, 4,900 ft vertical
- Stage 2: 23 miles, 4,375 ft vertical
- Stage 3: 33 miles, 6,300 ft vertical
The event provides overnight accommodations at Wadleigh State Park and Sunapee Middle High School; racers bring tents or may use gym floor. Organizers transport one duffel bag and a small cooler between nights; competitors are advised to limit duffel weight. Each day has a 12-hour time limit. Stage 3 / 50k includes four full aid stations and one water-only station at specified mile points; aid stations require check-in. This is a limited-support event - no outside crews or pacers are allowed and competitors must carry mandatory gear such as a cell phone, hydration pack with at least 70 oz fluid capacity, a fully waterproof seam-sealed jacket, course maps/description, a compass, and a medical/blister kit.
