Logistics and rules

The course uses single-track trails through Veteran Acres and Sternes Woods. The start line is located in the middle of the park and requires about a 30-minute walk from the main parking area; participants are directed by pink flags and on-site helpers. Packet pickup is Friday evening at Ornery Mule Trailhead, 824 S. Main Street #102 (5:00-8:00 PM) and Saturday morning at Veteran Acres (6:30-7:30 AM). Park in the main parking lot at 431 Walkup Rd, Crystal Lake, IL 60012.

There is a 3 hour and 30 minute time cutoff. All finishers receive a medal; a race shirt is included with registration while sizes last. The event offers a rollover policy: full rollover if notified 70 days before the event via Ultrasignup, and 50% race credit if done by 25 days before the event.
