Sooke Hills 50km and 25km takes place on May 30, 2026, with start and finish at Sooke Potholes Regional Park (parking lot 2) in Sooke, British Columbia. The event uses local trails in the Sooke Hills and follows marked routes with aid stations at several points along each course.

Courses

The 25 km course climbs the Peden Lake Trail, follows the Lakes Connector to the Shields Lake Viewpoint aid station, and uses the Sooke Mountain Park Road and Charters Connector with an aid station. Runners follow the Grassy Lake Trail, make a steep climb on the Monument Trail to the Grassy Lake Aid Station, then descend on the Harrison Trail to the Galloping Goose, cross the Todd Creek Trestle, and return to the start/finish.

The 50 km course includes summits of Mt. Empress, Monument Mountain, and Mt. Quimper and about 2000 m of ascent. It begins near the Potholes, uses the Galloping Goose and Riverside Trail, climbs Peden Lake Trail to Empress, continues to Shields Lake Aid Station, and proceeds toward Grassy Lake and the Harrison Trail. The route passes aid stations near Charter Creek Trestle and Harbourview parking lot, includes the Quimper Bike Push-up climb, and returns via the Grassy Lake Trail and the Galloping Goose to the start/finish.
