Solar Eclipse Trail Run

Bird Outdoors organizes a social trail run for women and non-binary people at Werneth Low Country Park Visitors Centre in Hyde, England (Higham Lane, SK14 5LR). The route is approximately 7 km on trails.

The run is women-led and socially paced, with an average pace slower than 7 min/km. The group follows a no runner left behind approach and may discuss car-sharing among participants.

Weather permitting, the group will take breaks along the route to watch the solar eclipse. The eclipse timings provided are first contact at 6:13pm, maximum at 7:10pm, and ending around 8:03–8:04pm. Special solar eclipse glasses are required to view the eclipse safely; the organizer will attempt to source some for participants.

There are donation tickets available, with all donations directed to a Community Fund. Refunds are offered up to seven days before the event. The event is held in person at the Werneth Low Visitors Centre. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
