Event Overview
The SOHO-HO AND AWAY WE GO! is a Christmas-themed trail and road race held on Saturday, December 12, 2026. The event takes place at Silver Coast Winery, located at 6680 Barbeque Road in Ocean Isle Beach, North Carolina.
Distances
The event includes two distances:
- 5K
- 1 Mile fun run
Course Details
The course is described as an out-and-back route. It passes through holiday-themed areas named Candy Cane Lane and Russtown Road, and includes a section through the vineyard. The road surface on Barbeque Road is a well-packed dirt road with some divots.
Participant Perks
Participants in the 5K who register by November 13 will receive a race shirt. All 5K finishers receive a medal at the finish line.
Awards
Cash awards are presented for the 5K event. The top three overall male and female finishers receive awards, as do the top three male and female masters finishers. Age group awards are given to the top male and female in categories from 14 & under to 70+.
Post-Race Festivities
An after-party is held in an area called Santa's Workshop. All registrants can enjoy a glass of wine or beer, enter a costume contest, take pictures, and listen to holiday music.
Beneficiary
Part of the proceeds from the event benefit the Combat Vets Motorcycle Association, which supports veterans and their families in the local area. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
