Myrtle Beach 24 Hour
The event is a 24 hour endurance run held in The Market Common area of Myrtle Beach, SC, with the start/finish at 1119 Farrow Parkway. The course is a certified paved loop of 1.0806 mile (USATF certification SC25016JK). The loop remains open to the public on race day and will include directional signs and portapotties.
Participants may begin their attempt at any time during the 24 hour race window and may leave and return to the course. If a runner leaves the course for an extended period, they must leave their bib at the aid station and retrieve it on return. Chip timing is used with the chip on the back of the bib; bibs should be worn on the front of the body. A live leaderboard will update as runners cross the start/finish.
An aid station at the start/finish area will offer typical ultra food, water, electrolyte drinks and hot food. A designated tent city near Farrow Parkway and Nevers Street allows 10x10 canopies only; camping tents and propane heaters are not permitted. Power outlets are available on a first come, first served basis.
Awards include buckles for runners who complete 100 miles or more and medals for distances under 100 miles. Prize money is offered for the top three men and top three women, and a sticker is planned for distances exceeding 109.4830 miles. Parking options include a nearby lot at the end of Forbus Ct and on-street spaces in The Market Common area. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
