Myrtle Beach 24 Hour : January 23-24, 2027
The Myrtle Beach 24 Hour is a timed endurance run organized by the City of Myrtle Beach Parks, Recreation and Sports Tourism Department. The event takes place in The Market Common area of Myrtle Beach, SC, with the start/finish at 1119 Farrow Parkway across from Valor Memorial Garden.
The course is a USATF certified 1.0806 mile paved loop (Certification number SC25016JK); sanctioning for record eligibility is pending. The loop follows the multipurpose path near Farrow Parkway and the adjacent lake. The route remains open to the public on race day and will include directional signs and portapotties.
Race logistics allow participants to run any amount of miles during the 24-hour period and to leave and re-enter the course with specific bib procedures for extended absences. A designated tent city near the corner of Farrow Parkway and Nevers Street permits 10x10 canopies only, no camping tents, and no propane heaters; power outlets are available on a first come, first served basis. Parking options include a nearby lot at the end of Forbus Ct and on-street spaces in The Market Common.
An aid station at the start/finish will provide typical ultra fare, water, electrolyte drinks and hot food. Chip timing will be used and a live leaderboard will display updates as runners cross the loop. Pacers are allowed after midrace hours with a signed waiver and pacer bib. Awards include buckles for 100+ miles, medals for shorter distances, a sticker for surpassing 109.4830 miles subject to change, and prize money for the top three men and top three women. Entries may be refunded or deferred to 2028; refunds by check may take several weeks in some cases. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
