Myrtle Beach 24 Hour (January 23-24, 2027)
The Myrtle Beach 24 Hour is a 24 hour endurance run held in The Market Common area of Myrtle Beach, SC. The looped course is a USATF certified 1.0806 mile paved circuit (certification number SC25016JK) with the start/finish at the common area across from Valor Memorial Garden. The route remains open to the public on race day and includes directional signage and on-course portapotties.
Awards and recognition include a buckle for participants who complete 100 miles or more, a medal for those who complete fewer than 100 miles, and prize money for the top three men and top three women (first place $1,000; second $500; third $300). A sticker is planned for runners who exceed 109.4830 miles; the threshold and wording may change before the event.
An aid station at the start/finish will offer typical ultra foods, water, electrolyte drinks and hot food. Chip timing is used; chips are affixed to the bib and a live leaderboard will display real-time updates. Participants may begin at any point during the 24 hour window and may leave and return to the course; extended absences require leaving the bib at the aid station.
Designated tent city allows 10x10 canopies only; camping tents and propane heaters are not permitted. Packet pickup is available the day before at Crabtree Memorial Gym and on race morning at the start/finish. Parking options include a lot at the end of Forbus Ct and on-street spaces near The Market Common. Refunds or deferrals to 2028 are offered; refunds may be mailed as checks in some cases.
