Myrtle Beach 24 Hour
The Myrtle Beach 24 Hour is a timed 24-hour endurance run organized by the City of Myrtle Beach’s Parks, Recreation and Sports Tourism Department in The Market Common area of Myrtle Beach, SC. The course is a USATF certified 1.0806 mile paved loop with the start and finish at the common area near Valor Memorial Garden and the address listed as 1119 Farrow Parkway.
Participants may run any number of miles within the 24-hour period, leave the loop and return, and crew from parked vehicles with caution and return to the same entry point. For extended absences from the course, runners must leave their bib at the timing tent and retrieve it on return. Chip timing will be used and bibs are worn on the front of the body. A live leaderboard will update as runners cross the timing line.
Aid station provisions include water, electrolyte drinks, typical ultra foods such as chips and candy, and hot food. Directional signs and portable toilets will be available on the course. Pacers are permitted after a specified time and must sign a waiver before pacing.
Tent city rules specify 10 by 10 canopies only, no camping tents, tarp sides allowed, no propane heaters per the Fire Marshal, and power outlets available on a first come, first served basis. Packet pickup is scheduled before race day and also on race morning. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
