Soaring Eagle Trail Run
Soaring Eagle Trail Run in Sammamish, Washington takes place on May 16, 2026 at Soaring Eagle Regional Park. The event uses the park’s network of trails, including the wide, well-maintained Pipeline Trail and numerous smaller winding singletrack routes through forest.
There are two course layouts. The 5K is an abbreviated version of the 10K loop. The half marathon is two laps of the 10K course. All distances begin on the Pipeline Trail and, at approximately 0.74 miles, the 5K and 10K routes diverge. The 10K route passes mostly flat, well-graded but rooty trail through forested sections with roots, rocks, and occasional puddles.
Course support includes aid stations stocked with Tailwind electrolyte drink, fresh fruit, gels, gummies, and other snacks. Aid station locations include mile 4.5 on the 10K and miles 4.5, 6.5, and 11 on the half marathon.
Practical notes: parking is primarily street parking along the south side of E. Main Dr and parking at the trailhead is limited; vehicles parked on the north side may be towed. Trails remain open to other users during the event, including equestrians, cyclists, and pedestrians. The event is cupless; participants are required to carry a refillable container. The race takes place on lands historically inhabited by the Duwamish and Coast Salish peoples. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
