The Snowy Owl 10 Mile is a trail race held on January 4, 2026, at York River State Park near Williamsburg, VA. The event distance is 10 miles. The race benefits AWARE (Alliance of Wild Animal Rehabilitators and Educators); representatives from AWARE will be onsite with owls and educational information. Packet pick up is available race morning only. All finishers receive a ceramic medal featuring the event logo. Registered participants receive a race logo item, a winter hat, and park entry. Long-sleeved shirts may be available for purchase.

Course and race details

The course uses a mix of single track, fire road dirt trails, a short paved section near the finish, and a boardwalk. About five miles are technical single track, roughly 0.75 mile is on road, and the remainder is on dirt fire roads. Total elevation gain is about 600 feet. There are three aid stations on course supplying water and light snacks such as gels and fruit; hot beverages and additional snacks will be available at the finish. Awards are given to the overall top three and the top three in male and female 10-year age groups. The event enforces a four hour cutoff and allows hiking on the course.
