Noland Trail 50K and Relay - Newport News, VA

The Noland Trail 50K and Relay is a race held on November 7, 2026 at The Mariners' Museum Park, located at 100 Museum Drive in Newport News, VA. The course runs on the Noland Trail and is structured as six full laps of the trail with short sections of course before and after each lap.

Event formats include:

  • 50K Solo
  • 50K Relay with teams of 2 to 6 members
  • 50K Relay Help Me Find a Team option

Relay teams divide the six laps among team members. Between laps participants may gather in an area referred to as "Tortuga." Race start times are staggered to reduce trail congestion; start order and exact times are assigned using the mile pace submitted during registration and team start times use the team average pace. Start time assignments are posted roughly two weeks before the event.

All registered participants receive access to the Mariners' Museum Fall Festival happening alongside the race. The festival program includes live music, craft beer and cider tastings, and family activities. Entry pricing listed for the event shows the solo 50K at $90 and relay entries at $80 with a scheduled price increase after March 23, 2026. The solo 50K is open to ages 18 through 99.
