Noland Trail 50K and Relay : Newport News, VA

The Noland Trail 50K and Relay is a trail event held at The Mariners' Museum Park in Newport News, Virginia (100 Museum Drive, Newport News, VA 23606). The event includes a solo 50K and relay entries that together cover the same 50 kilometer distance.

The 50K course is made up of six laps on the Noland Trail with a short section of course before and after each trail lap. Relay teams may include two to six members who share the six laps. Between laps participants can gather in an area called "Tortuga."

All participants receive access to the Mariners' Museum Fall Festival, which features live music, craft beer and cider tastings, and activities for families. Start times are staggered so slower runners and teams begin first and faster runners and teams begin later to reduce congestion on the trail. Start times are assigned from the mile pace submitted at registration and team start times use the team average; start times are posted about two weeks prior to the event.

Event fees listed for the current registration period are $90 for the solo 50K and $80 for relay entries; prices increase after March 23, 2026 at 11:59pm EDT. The solo 50K is open to ages 18 to 99. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
