Event Overview

Sunset Mountain's Naked Mile - Snap Dragon Style is an elimination-style race held in Noel, Missouri. This event is restricted to participants aged 18 and over. The competition takes place on the 0.86 mile Snap Dragon trail loop.

The format follows a survival system where a new lap begins every 12 minutes. To remain in the competition, runners must complete the lap within the 12-minute time limit. Furthermore, the last person to cross the finish line on each lap is eliminated. This process continues for a duration of 180 minutes. If multiple participants remain at the end of this period, a final race-off lap determines the top three male and female finishers. Stronger competitors may cover a total distance equivalent to a half marathon.

Course Details

The course features technical terrain across a private mountain facility. The loop consists of:

• Forest trails with loose gravel and large rocks
• Massive downhill sections and twists
• Cow pastures
• 0.86 mile total loop length
• 215 feet of elevation gain from the starting point
• Gravel driveway finish

The event is hosted at a nudist facility. While nudity is not mandatory, the venue operates under a dress for comfort mantra. Registration is limited to 50 entries, and each participant is permitted to bring one guest. The top three male and female finishers receive recognition, with embroidered robes awarded to the winners. A communal dinner is provided following the conclusion of the race.
