Smoky Mountain 24 Hour Challenge
The Smoky Mountain 24 Hour Challenge is a loop trail event held at 1005 Park Road in Sevierville, Tennessee on October 17, 2026. The course is a 3-mile loop that keeps runners returning to the same central area every few miles.
There are two event options:
- 24 Hour Challenge, run as many miles as possible in 24 hours.
- 9 to 5 Challenge, eight hour daytime event on the same 3-mile loop.
Aid and support are located at the center of the loop so runners pass aid every three miles. The aid station provides snacks, hydration, and volunteer support. The event capacity is limited to 300 runners.
Finisher recognition includes a medal and a custom race T shirt. Runners who reach 80 miles receive a themed belt buckle. The event is organized by East Coast Adventures in collaboration with Yeti Trail Runners and emphasizes frequent on-course interaction, crew access, and volunteer support.
Entry fees listed are $250 for the 24 Hour Challenge and $150 for the 9 to 5 Challenge. The park pavilion area near the course is currently closed for construction and video of that section will not be available until construction completes.
