The Skunk Ape 806/314 Trail Race takes place on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at Lowell Park, 2114 Lowell Park Road, Dixon, IL 61021. Distances offered:

Registration fees listed are $50 for the 806 and $30 for the 314; day-of fees are higher. Relay team fee is $150, with a higher day-of fee. Registration closes on Thu, Mar 19 at 11:59 PM CT. Race entry fees are nonrefundable and not transferable.

Course and race details

The event uses an alternating-direction loop of 2.25 miles per lap: forward first lap, reverse second lap, and so on. The course is mostly single track in the woods with a few paved road crossings and about 166 feet of elevation gain per lap. Lap counting is done manually at the start/finish; participants must have each lap checked by volunteers before continuing.

The aid station at the start/finish will provide water, coffee, and snacks; past offerings included grilled cheese, hot dogs, burgers, donuts, pancakes, sausage, bacon, pumpkin bars, and a chocolate fountain. Finishers who complete their distance within the time limit receive event apparel items.
