The course is a 2.25 mile loop run in alternating directions each lap (forward on the first lap, reverse on the second). It is primarily single track through woods with a few paved road crossings and about 166 feet of elevation gain per lap. Laps are tracked with pen and paper at the start/finish; participants must ensure a volunteer records each lap before continuing.
An aid station at the start/finish provides water, coffee, and essential snacks. In 2026 the crew offered items such as grilled cheese, hot dogs, burgers, donuts, pancakes, sausage, bacon, pumpkin bars, and similar foods; participants may bring items to contribute.
Entry fees listed by event: 806 $50 day-of $60; 524 $40 day-of $50; 314 $30 day-of $40; 806 Relay $150 day-of $180. Only participants who finish within the time limit receive the listed gift items. Awards are given to male and female 1st through 3rd for all distances; 1st overall for relay teams only. Registration closes Mar 25 at 11:59 PM CT.
