Course details

All courses start and finish at the Orchards Shelter / South Falls day use area and use the Trail of Ten Falls system.

  • The quarter marathon is one clockwise loop of the Trail of Ten Falls, starting and finishing at the Orchards Shelter.

  • The half marathon is essentially a double loop of the Trail of Ten Falls. The route links on the Canyon Trail, runs clockwise, passes North Falls and climbs stairs, then turns onto the Rim Trail back to the start. After an aid station the second loop follows the Trail of Ten Falls again with the second loop routed onto the Maple Ridge Trail to reconnect to the Canyon Trail.

  • The 12 Mile Ruck Challenge follows the half marathon route with one change: on the second loop participants are directed onto the Winter Trail, which reduces the distance by just over one mile. The ruck event has weight minimums: 35 lb for packs and 40 lb for vests. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
