Silver Falls Trail Challenge

Silver Falls Trail Challenge is scheduled for February 28, 2026, at Silver Falls State Park in Sublimity, OR. The event uses the Trail of Ten Falls and nearby park trails for its courses.

Distances offered:

  • 1/4 Marathon
  • 1/2 Marathon
  • 12 Mile Ruck Challenge
  • 6.55 Miler

The quarter marathon is one clockwise loop of the Trail of Ten Falls, starting and finishing at the Orchards Shelter. The half marathon is essentially a double loop on the Trail of Ten Falls run in a clockwise direction; the course links the Canyon Trail and the Rim Trail and uses the Maple Ridge Trail on the second loop to return to the Canyon Trail. The 12 Mile Ruck Challenge follows the half marathon route with a change on the second loop onto the Winter Trail, shortening the distance by over one mile.

Specific requirements and logistics include a minimum pack weight for the Ruck Challenge: 35 lb for packs and 40 lb for vests. Silver Falls State Park charges a $10 per car parking fee, payable by cash or card. Packet pick-up is scheduled for the day before the event at the Orchards Shelter, and race day pick-up is available at the venue. The organizer’s refund policy states no refunds; entries may be moved to another event of equal value within 12 months if the organizer is contacted before the week of the race.
