Seven Sisters Skyline

The Seven Sisters Skyline is a mountain running event set in the Derryveagh Mountains. It has been part of the World Mountain Running World Cup and is now part of the Skyrunning UK & Ireland Series. The course follows the mountain spine from Errigal to Muckish.

The event offers three distances:

  • 55km with over 4000m of ascent, summiting six peaks.
  • 30km, a point-to-point route across the full Skyline.
  • 16km, starting at Altan Track and passing Altan Castle.

The 55km and 30km events are UTMB Index races. The combined prize purse for the 55km and 30km events is €10,000, with cash prizes for the top five male and female finishers in each. The 55km event also serves as the National Series Skyrunning Championships with a €7500 prize pool.

Entry fees are €150 for the 55km, €140 for the 30km, and €85 for the 16km. The event is organized following the Fáilte Ireland Outdoor Activity Event Guidelines. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
