Serpent Trail Ultra Run

This is a guided trail run of approximately 30 miles that starts and finishes in Haslemere, Surrey. The route uses sections of the Serpent Trail and the Sussex Border Path and passes notable points such as Blackdown and the Temple of the Winds lookout with views towards the South Downs. Runners also move across fields, ancient woodland, rare heathland and a variety of valleys and trails.

The event is run as a group and is not a race. An experienced ultra runner leads the group, looks after the route and is available to offer advice during the day. Participants are advised to have completed at least 22 miles in training and to be able to sustain an average pace of about 10 minutes per mile (6 minutes per kilometre) on trail for prolonged periods. A full kit list will be provided to entrants.

Logistics note: the meet point is in Haslemere where there are nearby car parks and a train station a short run or taxi ride away. The listed entry cost is £45 per person.
