Serpent Trail Ultra Run

Haslemere, United Kingdom • 29 Nov 2026

Serpent Trail Ultra Run

This is a guided trail run of 30 miles starting and finishing in Haslemere, Surrey. The route uses sections of the Serpent Trail and the Sussex Border Path, and passes notable points such as Blackdown and the Temple of the Winds lookout, with views over the South Downs. The course includes fields, ancient woodland, rare heathland and valleys, and features varied terrain and climbs. A refreshment break is included.

The event is presented as an introduction for first time ultra runners. Participants run as a group rather than racing; steeper climbs are often hiked and the group regroups regularly. Organisers advise that participants have run at least 22 miles in training and be comfortable maintaining an average pace of around 10 min per mile (6:15 min per km) on trails for prolonged periods. A full kit list will be provided. Transport access is by car or train, with car parks near the meet point and a nearby station on the main line between London and Portsmouth. The entry fee is £55 per person. Organisers provide further detailed information to participants before the run. An alcohol free beer from Athletic Brewing Company may be available at the end of the run, subject to availability. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
