Scrimshire's Scramble takes place on Sunday, 1 March 2026 at North Leverton Windmill, Mill Lane, North Leverton with Habblesthorpe, Retford, Nottinghamshire DN22 0BA. The event is community-led and returns for a second year. It is run as a not-for-profit event by volunteers, with proceeds and donations used to support the 212 year old corn-mill.

Course and entry details

The event is listed as 10K (noted as nearer 10.5K) and is described as undulating, multi-terrain. The off-road trail uses country lanes, byways and public footpaths with a mixture of soft, muddy sections and firmer lanes offering views across South Yorkshire, North Nottinghamshire and North Lincolnshire. All finishers receive a bag of bread flour milled at the windmill, a sustainable medal and a jar of local honey.

Tackle a scenic 3 hour mountain marathon across the Peak District moors, solo or in pairs with junior entries available. Pre entry only for this natural terrain challenge, with waterproof maps and post race hot drinks and flapjack.

Join the I Trailowy Marsz / Bieg dla Niepokalanej in Nottingham for a community trail run and march around the church with 3, 6 or 9 km laps. Enjoy a brief warm up, medals for early finishers and cake and coffee in the church hall.

Celebrate the season at Sherwood Pines with sprint and standard duathlons, new 5 km and 10 km trail runs and a family mile for kids. Finishers receive event T shirts, medals and festive treats in a dog friendly woodland.

Tackle a lively PECO Cross Country League race at Pontefract Park on 14 December 2025, featuring an undulating two lap course of about 4.5 to 5.0 miles. Expect competitive club racing and a buzzing winter XC atmosphere.
