SCA 5K
The SCA 5K is a cross country race held as part of Shalom Dutchfest. The course runs on natural terrain and walkers are welcome. Check in is available the evening before and the morning of the race. The event is held rain or shine.
The race distance is 5 kilometers. Divisions are organized by age: 8 and under, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15-16, 17-20, 21-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 plus. A new master category for ages 40 and over is included for both male and female competitors.
Awards are given by division. First place male and female in each division receive medals. Ribbons are awarded for second and third place in each division. Overall male and female winners receive a $50 prize; the master category winners also receive $50 each.
A complimentary annual SCA 5K t shirt is provided to registrants who register by April 15. Registration will open in spring 2027. The SCA 5K is presented as part of the broader Shalom Dutchfest program, which includes additional family activities and a separate kids fun walk.
