Medal Madness Pick and Mix - Northampton

This is a 7 hour Time Challenge held at Northampton Active beside the Northampton Washlands. The event is on well maintained paths and trail and is licensed by the Trail Running Association and held under UK Athletics rules.

Participants can choose how far to run, with a minimum distance of 3km. A full lap measures about 7km (approximately 4.37 miles) though the route may be adjusted for safety. Turn points at 3km and 5km within the lap are provided to allow younger runners to comply with UK Athletics age restrictions.

Distances include:

  • 3km minimum finisher distance
  • 7km full lap approximately 4.37 miles
  • Half marathon equals 3 laps
  • Marathon equals 6 laps
  • 50km just under 6 laps
  • Ultra equals 7 laps or more

Finishers who complete at least 3km receive a themed medal from a selection. Distance pins are awarded for half marathon and longer distances and are attached to the medal ribbon. All finishers receive a goody bag; a vegan goody bag option is available.

An aid table and drinks are available at the start/finish of each lap with savoury and sweet snacks and vegan options. The venue offers toilets but no dedicated changing facilities or showers. Parking at the venue is limited and nearby paid parking may be available. Number pick up is on the day at race registration. Bag storage at the start/finish is not secure. Headphones are allowed and runners should be considerate of other path users. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
