Event Overview

This event is Day 2 of the Dun Holm Challenge, a five-event series celebrating Durham's historical name. Participants can enter individual days or the entire series. The medal features the Dun Cow statue and Durham place names.

The format is a 7-hour Time Challenge. Participants choose their own distance within the time limit. The minimum distance to be an official finisher is one lap.

Course

The course is a trail run along a stretch of the River Wear, offering views of Durham Cathedral. The route is fully signed, so no navigation experience is needed. The event is held on public footpaths.

Medals, Pins, and Goody Bags

All finishers who complete at least one lap receive a themed medal. Additional distance pins are awarded for completing a half-marathon or greater. Both standard and vegan goody bags are available for finishers.

Facilities

An aid station at the start/finish area offers a selection of drinks, sweet snacks, and savoury snacks, including vegan options. Toilets and changing facilities are available at the race HQ. There is an unstaffed bag drop area. Nearby parking includes free on-street options and city centre pay-and-display.

Additional Information
