Middlesbrough Pretty Muddy 5k

The Middlesbrough Pretty Muddy 5k takes place on Saturday 30 May 2026 at Stewart Park, The Grove, Marton, Middlesbrough, TS7 8AR. The event is a 5 km obstacle course where participants climb, crawl and slide around a looped route.

The course starts and finishes on grass and follows tarmac paths around Stewart Park, with some sections on grass. The route passes by the Captain Cook Birth Place Museum. Start and finish lines are located in the large field next to the park car park; the what3words location for the start is ///upset.chefs.spill. Wave starts are staggered every 15 minutes and marshals are present on course. Participants must be at least 13 years old.

Facilities listed for the event include refreshments, toilets and parking. There is limited general parking in the main Stewart Park car park and additional parking across the road at Prissick Football Fields. Blue Badge parking and electric charging points are available in the Stewart Park car park. Bus number 63 serves the park frequently and Marton train station is about a 10 minute walk away. There are no bike racks on site.

The listed entry prices are £22.49 for adults and £12.00 for children, with a minimum fundraising target of £50. Participants receive a fundraising pack, a customisable back sign, training support and a Race for Life medal on completion.
