Remembrance Day Event in Surrey

The Remembrance Run 2026 - South takes place in Egham, Surrey along the River Thames. This event serves to commemorate those who served in global conflicts and includes a two minute silence at 11:00am, with that time being deducted from all official race results.

Course Information

Participants run on a signed loop that is approximately 7 km (4.37 miles) long, though this may change to a 5.28 km (3.28 mile) loop depending on the conditions of the terrain. The route consists of roughly 60% tarmac or well-made paths and 40% grass and light trails. Dedicated turn points at 3 km and 5 km are available within the lap to accommodate age-specific distance regulations.

This event is formatted as a 7 hour time challenge, allowing participants to choose how many laps they complete within the time limit. Available distances include:

Facilities and Amenities

The race headquarters at the Wraysbury Skiff and Punting Club provides toilets and changing facilities. An aid station at the start and finish of each lap offers water and a variety of sweet, savoury, and vegan food items. Finishers receive a goody bag and a commemorative medal, with additional distance pins awarded for those completing 21.1 km or further.

Logistics

Participants can collect their race numbers on the day of the event. A baggage area is located near the start and finish line, and headphones are permitted during the run.
