Remembrance Run 2026 - South
The Remembrance Day Run at Wraysbury Skiff and Punting Club, Riverside, Egham, Surrey, commemorates those who made the ultimate sacrifice in conflicts worldwide. The event includes a two minute silence; two minutes will be removed from official times.
This is a licensed Trail Running Association event held under UK Athletics rules. It is run as a 7 hour Time Challenge that allows participants to choose their distance. The minimum distance is 3km and laps are used to build longer distances.
- Minimum distance 3km
- Full lap approximately 7km or 4.37 miles
- Lap may change to a 3.28 mile loop depending on conditions
- Half marathon requires 3 laps, marathon 6 laps, ultra 7 or more laps
- 50km distance also available
The course follows a stretch of the River Thames and is fully signed. About 60% of the route is on a well made path or tarmac and the remainder is grass and light trail which can be muddy at times. Road shoes are suitable year round; trail shoes may help on softer sections.
Finishers who complete at least 3km receive a medal. Distance pins are available for half marathon, mega half, marathon, 50km and ultra distances and are attached to the medal ribbon. Aid and drinks tables are provided at the start and finish of each lap with savoury, sweet, fruit, cheese and vegan options. Toilets and changing facilities are at race HQ. Bag drop is available but unstaffed and items are left at the participant's responsibility. There is a large pay on exit carpark at Runnymede Pleasure Grounds. Headphones are allowed and runners should be considerate of other public footpath users. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
