Remembrance Run 2026 - South

The Remembrance Run takes place at Wraysbury Skiff and Punting Club on a signed course alongside the River Thames in Surrey. The event includes a two minute silence during the event; those two minutes are removed from official times.

This is a seven hour time challenge that allows participants to choose how many laps to run. The minimum distance recorded for an official finish is 3km. Distances and lap structure include:

  • 3km minimum distance
  • 5km and 10km options
  • Half Marathon (3 laps)
  • Marathon (6 laps)
  • 50km and Ultra distances (7 or more laps)
  • Seven hour Time Challenge option

The course is approximately 60% on well-made path or tarmac, with the remainder on grass and light trail that can become muddy. Road shoes are suitable year round; trail shoes may be preferred for extra grip on softer sections. The route is fully signed and includes 3k and 5k turn points.

Facilities at race HQ include toilets, changing, an unstaffed bag drop, and a pay on exit carpark at Runnymede Pleasure Grounds. Aid and drinks tables are provided at the start/finish of each lap with savoury, sweet, fruit, cheese and vegan items. Finishers who complete at least 3km receive a commemorative medal; distance pins are available for half-marathon and longer finishes. A standard goody bag is provided, with a vegan option available. Headphones are allowed and runners should be considerate of other public path users. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
