The Christmas Day Cracker Run is organised by Saturn Running and takes place on 25 December 2025 at Wraysbury Skiff and Punting Club, Riverside, Egham TW20 0AA. The event is run as a 7 hour Time Challenge. Runners can choose how many laps to complete within the time limit. The course runs along the River Thames and is fully signed.

Race format and facilities

The minimum official finishing distance is 3 km. A full lap is listed as 7 km (4.37 miles) but may be changed to a 3.28 mile loop depending on course conditions. There are 3 km and 5 km turn points on the lap for younger runners. It is three laps for a half marathon, six for a marathon, seven or more for an ultra, and a 50 km option is available. Medals are awarded to all who complete at least 3 km. Distance pins are given to runners who complete a half-marathon or longer within the 7 hour limit.

Toilets and changing facilities are available at race HQ. There is an unmanned bag area at the start/finish and a pay-on-exit carpark at Runnymede Pleasure Grounds. Headphones are allowed. The event uses public footpaths.

Entry and extras

Entry prices range from £18 to £35. A reduced £23 entry price is available only to members. Finishers receive a goody bag, with a vegan option available, and a small Christmas gift. A Christmas dinner aid table with seasonal items will be provided. If running in low-light conditions for the first hour, participants must use a headtorch.
