The San Joaquin River Trail race takes place on Saturday, December 6, 2025, in Friant, CA at the S. Finegold Picnic Area. The event includes the following distances:

  • 50k
  • 25k
  • 10k

The courses run along trails near Millerton Lake and the San Joaquin River. Runners receive a finishers medal and race swag. Awards are given to the top three male and top three female finishers and to first-place finishers in age groups.

Logistics and support

Start and finish are at the South Finegold Picnic Area at the end of Sky Harbor Road; parking is at that location. Packet pickup and race-day check-in occur at the Start/Finish area; there are no race-day entries. Pacers are allowed for the 50k at about mile 16. Aid stations are placed approximately every 5 miles and will offer water, sports drink, gels, fruit, snacks, and basic first aid. Drop bags should be clearly marked with the bib number and will be located at the San Joaquin River Gorge Management Area, Ya Gub Weh Tuh Campground. Crew access is available near that campground (on the 50k course). Camping is available on the north side of Millerton Lake and near the 50k turnaround; no camping at the Start/Finish.
