Samson's Revenge - Estes Park, Colorado

Samson's Revenge is a trail race held on the grounds of the YMCA of the Rockies in Estes Park. The route is built from looped trail sections that combine fast single track with a pronounced summit section called Bible Point. Loops beyond the first are described as flowing single track on packed dirt with a short section of gravel.

Distances offered include:

  • 10k - one loop with about 1,200 ft gain
  • 27k - one main loop plus two shorter loops, about 3,000 ft gain
  • 55k - one main loop plus five additional loops, about 6,000 ft gain

Two aid stations serve runners: the start/finish area and the top of Bible Point. Both stations provide water, electrolyte drink, and a variety of snacks and food. The start and finish are located at the YMCA of the Rockies administration area. Parking is plentiful in paved lots. All races are cupless; runners are asked to use their own cup, and reusable cups are available for purchase during registration. Registration for each entry includes a day pass to the YMCA of the Rockies. Runners receive event swag including a custom Fractel hat and wool finisher socks.
