Salem Lake Trail Runs
The event takes place at Salem Lake Marina in Winston Salem, NC on the wooded, mostly shaded trail that circles Salem Lake. It offers multiple trail distances with on-course support and post-race provisions. Part of the event proceeds benefit the Salem Lake Trail System.
Distances:
- 30K (approx. 18.6 miles) out and back; water stops every 3.5 miles.
- 7 Mile loop around Salem Lake; water stop at approximately 3.5 miles.
- 5K (approx. 3.1 miles) out and back on the Salem Lake Trail.
The 30K course has a 4-hour cutoff; participants must check in at the timing trailer before starting. Water stops are provided at the intervals noted for each course. Long sleeve tri-blend race shirts are offered in female and unisex sizes and are guaranteed for registrations through the end of August. Shirts run true to size; registrants who prefer a looser fit are advised to choose a larger size.
Registration opens 05/01/2026; an event registration close date is listed for 08/14/2026. There is no race-day registration. Packet pickup is handled at the Salem Lake Marina building on the scheduled pickup days. Post-race food and beer are provided. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
