Dragon Dash 5K & Little Lizard 1K : West Davidson High School

West Davidson High School Athletic Department hosts a community running event on 08/01/2026 to support its student-athletes. Proceeds will help provide resources, equipment, facility improvements, and opportunities that benefit the school's athletic programs.

The 5K is a relatively flat, two-loop course that starts and ends on the school track and includes wooded trail, grassy areas, crushed gravel, and paved surfaces. The route is not suitable for strollers, and dogs are not permitted at either event.

Awards are provided for top finishers: overall top ten men and women in the 5K, and overall top three boys and girls in the Little Lizard 1K. All 5K participants are entered in a prize drawing that includes items such as a season pass, priority parking, and local gift certificates.

Registration details differ by event; the 5K carries a registration fee and the Little Lizard 1K is free. Race shirts are guaranteed for registrations received by July 17. Packet pick-up is scheduled for the evening before the event at the West Davidson High School gym.
