Running Tribe Races

Running Tribe Races take place at two venues in Buckinghamshire: Chalfont Park Sports Club in Chalfont St Peter and Chalfont St Peter Community Centre in Gerrards Cross. The event uses looped courses based on 7K or 10K circuits that allow participants to choose their distance on the day.

Courses 1, 2 and 3 use a roughly 10.8K loop that is about 80% trail and 20% road, including public footpaths and woodland. The listed elevation for that loop is about 2,100 ft over six laps.

Distances for Courses 1, 2 and 3

  • 10K
  • Half Marathon
  • Marathon
  • 40-mile Ultra

Distances for Courses 4, 5 and 6

  • 7K
  • 14K
  • Half Marathon
  • Marathon
  • 30-mile Ultra

The looped format permits easy access to a personal drop bag and can be used to test kit, nutrition, and pacing strategies. An aid station at the start and finish area provides water, soft drinks, and vegan or vegetarian food. Courses are clearly marked with signposted road crossings. Pacers are welcome and crew support is allowed anywhere on course. Qualified medical support will be available throughout.

Prizes are awarded for first, second, and third place in each distance category. Entry is open to all abilities; participants should be comfortable walking or running at least 7K. Recommended kit includes a 500ml minimum water bottle, a fully charged mobile phone, a head torch for winter events, weather appropriate clothing, and a reusable cup.
