2026 Running Ragnar for the Kids

The 2026 Running Ragnar for the Kids takes place on April 24 and 25, 2026, at Pocahontas State Park in Richmond, Virginia. The event is based at 4921 Lakeside Avenue, Richmond, VA 23228.

Four teams of eight people will compete in a relay format at Ragnar Trail Richmond. Together the teams will cover a total of 122.4 miles. The race involves multiple runners per team who complete successive legs to reach the total distance.

Participants are fundraising for Kids On The Move, a program of Sports Backers. Kids On The Move supports youth running and fitness clubs in the Richmond region by giving school aged children opportunities to train for and participate in local races during fall and spring seasons. The program provides resources for coaches to create a safe and enjoyable environment for developing endurance ahead of race day. It also helps reduce barriers to participation by offering complimentary race entries, covering transportation costs to and from events, providing team t shirts at no cost, and outfitting youth in need with new running shoes.
