The Choo-Choo Challenge is an 8 hour timed event on an out and back course along an old disused train line near Bridestowe. Each lap measures 5.3 km on a mixed surface described as off-road and paved with an undulating profile. The event uses the TUGG system (Turn Up Get Going), which allows competitors to begin within an open arrival window and complete as many laps as they can within the event time limit.
Entrants who complete at least one lap within the permitted time are recorded as finishers and can collect a medal. If the event reaches capacity, later entrants receive a bespoke medal chosen from those available on the day. The organiser sets a maximum of 70 entrants, a minimum age of 18 years, and an entry closing date of 27/08/2026.
