Runaway Racing Invitational 10K
The Runaway Racing Invitational 10K is an end of season trail running championship at Wendover Woods, taking place on Sunday 6 December 2026. The event base is Wendover Woods, Upper Icknield Way, Aston Clinton, Aylesbury, HP22 5NQ.
Entry is open to runners who finish within the top 20% at Runaway Racing events during 2026, to age category winners from those events, and to event volunteers. The field is limited to 200 runners and the minimum age is 16. General entry is listed at £22 with a £20 rate for UKA affiliated entries; price tiers apply and change after 29 November 2026.
The competition covers 10 km of trail with approximately 295 m of ascent. The route is fully marked with orange arrow markers and ribbons and will be marshalled at key turning points. The race is licensed by the Trail Running Association, held under UKA rules, and uses chip timing with live results. Facilities include a bag drop. The route description notes testing terrain, with steep climbs and long descents, and organisers advise trail running shoes because the course can be muddy. Wendover train station is the closest station, roughly 2.5 km from the event base.
Route files and a runner's guide are provided, with a GPX track available. The withdrawal policy issues 90% credits for cancellations made more than four weeks before race day, credits are redeemable once and valid for 12 months. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
