Runaway Racing Invitational 10K

The Runaway Racing Invitational 10K is a championship trail race held at Wendover Woods on 6 December 2026. The event covers a 10 km route with approximately 295 m of elevation gain and is limited to 200 runners. The event base is Wendover Woods, Upper Icknield Way, Aston Clinton, HP22 5NQ.

Entry is by invitation. Eligible participants include runners who finish within the top 20 percent at Runaway Racing events in 2026, age category winners and event volunteers. Invitations are issued after qualifying races. Registration is priced at £25 or £23 for UKA affiliated runners, and entries opened on 20 April 2026. Minimum age to compete is 16.

The race is licensed by the Trail Running Association (license number 8217) and held under UKA rules. The route is a marked and marshalled trail course with orange arrow markers and ribbons. The organiser recommends trail running shoes because the route will be muddy and includes testing sections with climbs and long descents. Chip timing with live results, a bag drop and awards for overall and age category places are provided.

Route files and downloads are available in GPX and other formats. Wendover train station is the nearest station and lies about 2.5 km from the event start. The withdrawal policy issues credits for cancellations more than four weeks before the race at 90 percent value, usable for 12 months.
