Runaway Racing Invitational 10K
The Runaway Racing Invitational 10K is an end of season trail running championship held at Wendover Woods on 6th December 2026. The race is organised by Runaway Racing and is hosted at Wendover Woods, Upper Icknield Way, Aston Clinton, Aylesbury HP22 5NQ.
The competition distance is 10 km with around 295m of ascent. The route is on trail terrain and is described as including steep climbs and long descents. The course is fully marked with orange arrow markers and ribbons, and marshals are positioned at key turning points. Navigation aids and route downloads such as a GPX file and maps are provided.
Entry is limited to 200 runners and is open only to runners who qualify by finishing within the top 20% at Runaway Racing events during 2026, to age category winners from those events, and to event volunteers. Minimum age is 16. The event is licensed by the Trail Running Association (license number 8217) and held under UKA rules.
Facilities and services include chip timing with live results, a bag drop and marshalled route. Prizes include an overall trophy for the first male and first female and awards for second, third and age category winners. Withdrawals made more than four weeks before the event receive 90 percent credit usable on future entries for 12 months. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
