Runaway Racing Invitational 10K
The Runaway Racing Invitational 10K is an end-of-season trail running championship event held at Wendover Woods in Buckinghamshire. This 10 km competition features a trail route with approximately 295 meters of elevation gain, consisting of climbs and descents through the forest terrain.
This race is an invitational event with specific qualification criteria. It is open to participants who finish within the top 20% of any Runaway Racing event during the 2026 season, as well as age category winners and event volunteers. The event is licensed by the Trail Running Association and held under UKA rules, with a minimum age requirement of 16 years.
The course is fully marked using orange arrow markers and ribbons, and marshals are positioned at key turning points. While a GPX file and digital maps are available for download, participants do not need to carry a map for navigation. The event includes chip timing with live results, a bag drop service, and a limit of 200 total runners.
The event base is located at Wendover Woods, Upper Icknield Way. For those traveling by public transport, the Wendover train station is approximately 2.5 km from the start line.
