The Glacial Drumlin Marathon course is USATF certified and includes approximately 6 miles of city streets and sidewalks plus about 20 miles of paved trails, including parts of the Fox River Trail and Glacial Drumlin Trail. The route passes Frame Park, Veterans Park, Grede Park, Bethesda Park, and the Fox River Sanctuary. Aid stations are located at intervals of about every 2 miles and supply water, sports drinks, and energy gels; participants are encouraged to bring a bottle or collapsible cup to reduce waste.
Since 2009 the Park Foundation of Waukesha has hosted the event as a fundraiser; over $200,000 has been generated for local parks and programs. Silver Circle Sports Events, LLC produces and manages the event. Pets are not allowed by municipal ordinance. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
