The Born to Be Wild event will be held on January 31, 2026, at McGuffey Nature Center located at the Coweta County Fairgrounds in Newnan, GA. The event is presented by Sole Roots Racing, Coweta County, and the Southern Conservation Trust. Distances offered include:

  • 5K
  • 10K
  • Fun Run (1 mile)

Format and extras

The event includes a timed 5K and 10K and a one-mile Fun Run. The event is described as family-friendly. Children who register may choose either a mascot plushie or an event T-shirt. Participants are invited to dress as the organization’s mascots; the mascot Flint the River Otter is expected to be present.

Registration and fees

Registration is offered in three periods with different fees. Early registration runs from October 9 to December 15; regular registration runs from December 16 to January 24; late or race-week registration runs from January 25 to January 31. Fees listed are: 5K ($35 early, $40 regular, $50 late), 10K ($45 early, $50 regular, $60 late), and Fun Run ($20 for all periods).

Awards
