Run Layer 5 2025 is a community-focused running event held on October 5th in Layer de la Haye, Colchester, Essex. The event features a 5-mile out-and-back multi-terrain course through the scenic North Essex countryside, highlighting the village’s beautiful landscapes. A 1-mile children’s fun run is also available, with medals awarded to all participants.

The race starts and finishes at Queen Elizabeth Hall, with limited parking and available toilets on site. Dogs are welcome on a short lead. Prizes are awarded to the top male and female finishers, as well as the best team from a registered club.
