Run for the River 5K and Polar Plunge

The event takes place on 02/20/2027 at a privately owned farm managed for conservation and recreation located at 1261 Seymour Road, Bowman, GA 30624. It combines a 5K trail run with an optional group Polar Plunge at a beach on the farm along the Broad River.

The 5K course starts and finishes along the banks of the Broad River and meanders through meadows, hardwood forest, and long leaf pine. The route follows farm trails and may need to be altered depending on weather conditions. Walkers are welcome to use the course.

Following the run there is an optional group Polar Plunge in the Broad River at the farm beach. Bonfires and hot coffee, tea, and cocoa will be provided, and hot showers are available onsite for changing after the plunge. Proceeds from the event support the Broad River Watershed Association's water quality monitoring program. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
