The route will be marked with flags and signs and staffed at road crossings and major turns. There is one water stop on course; 10K participants pass it twice. Water and light snacks are provided at the finish line. Participants are advised that bringing personal bottles can reduce waste.
The event is held rain or shine; there are no refunds and no day of registration. Activities at the site include educational displays, children’s activities, live animals, and light refreshments. The start and finish are at the Shedd Park Pavilion where parking is available; additional parking is listed along Knapp Avenue and at Park Avenue East lots.
Proceeds support LPCT efforts to protect land, conserve wildlife, deliver environmental education, and connect residents with nature. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
