Run at the Rock - Cedarock Park

Run at the Rock is a trail running event held at Cedarock Park in Burlington, NC on December 12, 2026. The event offers three distances: a 5K, a one-loop 10K, and a two-lap Half Marathon. Each course begins with 0.6 miles of wide road, gravel, and paved trail before transitioning to a mix of forested single track and wider equestrian trails.

Course terrain includes sections with rocks, roots, and several short, punchy climbs and descents. The event lists technical ratings and elevation gain for each distance: the 5K gains about 217 feet, the 10K about 508 feet, and the Half Marathon about 999 feet. Courses are marked and include frequent aid stations roughly every 1–2 miles. Chip timing and medical support are provided.

Race entry includes a warm race hoodie and a large finisher medal. Post-race provisions include hot soup and other food and beverage options, free photo downloads, an awards ceremony with age-group and overall prizes, and volunteer support. A free Kids Race for Treasure is offered for children 11 and under, with small age-group races and prizes. Minimum age rules require younger runners to race alongside a registered parent or guardian in specified age ranges. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
