ROTHER VALLEY REMEMBRANCE DAY TRAIL RUNS 2026

This event is a set of trail races held at Rother Valley Country Park near Sheffield. The inaugural Remembrance Day Trail Runs offer routes that run around lakes and along woodland paths, using trails away from the normal Parkrun route.

Distances offered include:

  • 5km for participants aged over 11 years
  • 10km for participants aged over 15 years
  • Half Marathon

Live chip timing will be provided by Timing Up North with real time results available during the event. All finishers receive a bespoke event medal, Wild Deer merchandise such as socks or a buff or bottle, and a snack and drink. An exclusive event T shirt can be added to registration for £12.00.

A two minute silence will be observed before the races. Parking is available on site and all participants must pay at the ticket machines. A BS Category fell race in Castleton on 22 May 2026 covering 9.2 km with 427 m ascent along the Great Ridge and descending from Hollins Cross. Entry is via SiEntries, fee £8 and minimum age 18.

An evening fell race around Carsington Pasture with views of the Peak District and Carsington Water. The *9.5 km* route has 230 m of ascent, rough pasture and two road crossings; free parking and post race food are available.

A new fell race from Sinfin Running Club around the Chevin covering 8.9 km with 315 m of climb. The marked course uses two short loops and a figure of eight and includes some short road sections.
