Rosaryville Veterans Day Trail Race : Rosaryville State Park, Upper Marlboro MD
The Annapolis Striders organize the 17th annual Rosaryville Veterans Day Trail Race at Rosaryville State Park in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. The event offers two distances:
- 50K
- 20K
Both courses use the 9.5-mile single track perimeter trail and start and finish at the Pavilion picnic area. The 50K is roughly 3.25 loops of the perimeter trail and the 20K is roughly 1.25 loops. The route is mostly deep woods with rolling hills, a total elevation gain on the 50K of about 2600 ft, and mostly buffed single track that is not highly technical. The course is marked with white pie plates and white confidence ribbons. There are two aid stations on the route.
The race is limited to 250 participants and enforces time limits for each distance. A designated drop bag area is located a short walk from the start/finish; runners can access their bags at approximately the 5k, 20k, and 35k points. Drop bags will not be covered. Packet pickup is at the pavilion area on race morning.
Race rules prohibit headphones, pets, and baby joggers. Pacers are permitted on the final loop but must be on foot. Refunds are generally not available; limited deferrals or refunds are allowed for maternity or deployment circumstances. Registrations are not transferable.
