Rosaryville Veterans Day Trail Race

The Rosaryville Veterans Day Trail Race is scheduled for November 14, 2026 in Rosaryville State Park in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. The event, organized by Annapolis Striders, offers two distances.

  • 50K
  • 20K

Both courses use the park perimeter trail, a 9.5 mile single track loop through deep woods and meadows. The 50K is primarily 3.25 loops of the perimeter trail and accumulates about 2600 ft of elevation gain. The 20K is roughly 1.25 loops. Rolling hills are present but the trail is not highly technical. Roots, rocks, and stumps are common under a layer of leaves in early November.

The route begins and ends at the pavilion area near the perimeter trail entrance. Runners encounter two aid stations and a designated bag drop area located a short walk from the start and finish. Drop bags will be available at around the 5k, 20k, and 35k points and are not under cover. The course is marked with white pie plates and white confidence ribbons; other markers on the trail should be ignored.

The race is limited to 250 participants and enforces a time limit of 8 hours for the 50K and 7 hours for the 20K. Event rules prohibit headphones and pets. Awards are presented to the top three male and female finishers and to top male and female military finishers in each distance. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
