Rosaryville, United States • 8 Nov 2025

Event overview

The Rosaryville Veterans Day Trail Race is presented by the Annapolis Striders and takes place at Rosaryville State Park in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. The event offers trail races over multiple distances and is limited to 250 participants. It is described as the 16th annual running of the race.

Distances:

  • 50K
  • 20K

Both distances have time limits: the 50K has an overall eight-hour limit and the 20K has a seven-hour limit. Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers and to the top male and female military finishers for each distance.

Course and logistics

Both courses start and finish at the Pavilion picnic area near the perimeter trail entrance. The routes run mostly through deep woods and meadows on a 9.5-mile single-track perimeter trail with rolling hills. The 50K is roughly 3.25 loops of the perimeter trail and has about 2600 feet of elevation gain. The 20K is about 1.25 loops. The trail is mostly single track and is described as not very technical, though roots, rocks, and stumps may be hidden under leaf cover.

The course is marked with white pie plates and white confidence ribbons. There are two aid stations, and a designated drop bag area close to the start/finish with access points during the race. Race rules prohibit headphones, pets, and baby joggers. Distance changes must be made before race day; refunds and transfers are restricted under the event policy.
