Georgetown Turkey Trot 5k - Georgetown, Washington DC
The Georgetown Turkey Trot is a chip-timed 5k road race held on November 26, 2026 in Georgetown, Washington DC, with the course running along the C&O Canal. The route is an out-and-back on a light gravel dirt road with minimal elevation change. Walkers and strollers are welcome.
Participants receive a finisher's medal and a long-sleeved technical (drifit) event shirt; shirts are guaranteed for runners registered before November 11, and additional shirts may be available afterward on a first-come, first-served basis. The event includes live results via Athlinks and a race QR code for immediate result access; final results with series points are posted the Monday after the race. Runner tracking via SMS is offered through the event registration system.
This race awards the top three men and women overall and first and second place male and female in age groups 19&Under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. Runners who place top three overall are not eligible for age-group awards.
Additional details include one water station on the 5k course (approximately at mile 1.5), port-a-johns near check-in, packet pickup at the event (organizers recommend arriving about one hour before the event to check in), no on-site race registration, and a virtual race option.
