About the race
The Two Rivers Turkey Trot is a community running event in Washington, DC, held at the Langston Golf Course and the Anacostia Tidal Marsh on Thanksgiving Day, 11/26/2026. The event is organized by volunteers and proceeds support Two Rivers Public Charter School.
Distances offered:
- 3K: 1.86 mile loop starting at the driving range around the Anacostia Tidal Marsh.
- 1K: out-and-back course; all ages welcome.
Course and logistics: the 3K route loops around the Tidal Marsh, crosses a wooden bridge, follows tree lines, and returns to the driving range through the back nine of the golf course. Surfaces include grass, gravel, and pavement. Course distances are approximate and timing services are not available. Running strollers with large wheels are allowed; other strollers may be suitable on gravel and pavement. Participants may park strollers and bicycles near the start.
Additional notes: registration fees are noted as $25 per adult with a $15 child discount shown at check-out. All participants must be registered so a signed waiver is on file. The event will occur rain or shine unless canceled for lightning or extreme weather; cancellations are final with no refunds. A food drive requests one non-perishable item per registrant. Service animals are welcome but no pets are allowed. Medals will be given to all children finishers; there will be no t-shirts. The venue address is 2600 Benning Road NE, Washington, DC 20002.
