Turkey Trot 5K

The Turkey Trot is a community cross country style 5K held in Herndon, VA on Saturday, November 21. The event is open to participants ages 4 and up. All participants must complete the 5K course within 45 minutes.

The race includes age group awards with first and second place finishers recognized in each division. Overall male and female champions receive a turkey with all the trimmings. A long sleeve commemorative race shirt is available for the first 400 pre registered runners.

Age divisions listed for awards are 10 & Under; 11–14; 15–19; 20–29; 30–39; 40–49; 50–59; 60–69; and 70 & Over.

Registration fees differ by period and age. Pre registration fees are $40 for adults (21+) and $25 for youth (20 and under). Race weekend fees are $45 for adults and $30 for youth. Pre registration closes at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, November 20.

Packet pick up is at the Herndon Community Center on Friday, November 20 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Participants are encouraged to bring a canned food donation to support LINK. Strollers, bicycles, and dogs are not permitted on the race course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
